USAFE-AFAFRICA meets with Zambian Air Force to plan African Air Chiefs Symposium
Lt. Gen. Jason T. Hinds, U.S. Air Forces in Europe - Air Forces Africa, deputy commander, met with Zambian Air Force members of the Association of African Air Forces Lt. Col. Juliet Mbimbi, Women, Peace and Security representative, Maj. Moses Sichilima, liaison officer, and Warrant Officer 1 Festus Mwelwa, senior enlisted representative, during the African Air Chiefs Symposium planning meeting at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, Jan. 14. Hinds represented Gen James Hecker, U.S. Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa commander and co-chairman of the Association of African Air Forces. Hinds discussed with the Zambian delegation plans for the upcoming symposium in Lusaka and relayed Hecker’s commitment to co-hosting the event, which will provide a forum for strategic dialogue among African Air Chiefs to discuss common interests on the continent and foster cooperation.
