Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti -- Senior Airman Ryan Knutson, 736th Expeditionary Air Base Squadron vehicle maintenance technician, repaired an ambulance at Chabelley Airfield, Djibouti, May 25, 2021. He spent three days installing a new part to the ambulance and making other repairs so first responders have a safe and reliable vehicle when traveling to emergencies.
“The most challenging part of the job is waiting for parts,” said Knutson. “If we don’t have a part, especially in a deployed environment, we’re pretty much waiting a month or two or even three months to get those parts in.”
