  • 425th ABS, NATO members reach out to local children’s hospital

    Service members from the 425th Air Base Squadron and NATO, along with local national volunteers from the Izmir civilian community, reached out to a children’s hospital April 18 in Izmir, Turkey. The volunteers handed out toys varying from cars and trucks to dolls to more than 60 children who were being treated for a variety of different medical reasons in wards that included leukemia, pediatric surgery and the infectious diseases units.

    Airmen from RAF Mildenhall and RAF Lakenheath participated in a fuel spill exercise at RAF Mildenhall, England, May 15, 2019. The exercise, conducted annually in accordance with Defense Logistics Agency regulations, replicated a fuel spill and tested Airmen’s reaction to an event that could halt the base’s aerial refueling mission.
