    Lt. Gen. Steven Basham Immersion Tour

    U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. Steven Basham, U.S. Air Forces in Europe-Air Forces Africa deputy commander, took an immersion tour of Ramstein Air Base, Germany, on Jan. 17, 2020, for a hands on visit to various work centers. Basham took this time to connect with airmen, speak with supervisors and discussed strengths and areas that could use improvement. Basham also took this time to personally recognize and award several Airmen for their exceptional work.

    Trust between nations strengthened by international camaraderie

    Strengthening the relationship between the U.S. and Romania is a primary objective exercise Carpathian Fall seeks to accomplish. Strengthening this relationship between the two NATO allies requires a free-flow exchange of ideas and tactics. It is more than that, however.

    Aviation Rotation 19-3: Portraits in Poland

    Airmen assigned to the 86th Airlift Wing deployed to Powidz Air Base, Poland, to support the 52nd Operations Group Detachment 1 during Aviation Rotation 19-3, a bilateral training exercise with their Polish counterparts. Approximately 100 Airmen from more than 10 Air Force specialties supported the endeavor to complete mission objectives.

    Vigorous Warrior 19 ensures readiness, strong partnerships for U.S. Air Force medics

    Exercise Vigorous Warrior 19, NATO’s largest-ever medical readiness event, ended Friday with ceremonies at Cincu Military Base, Romania. Beginning April 3, approximately 50 Airmen from the 86th Medical Group, Ramstein Air Base, Germany, worked with over 2,500 military personnel from 39 NATO and partner countries to improve interoperability and readiness in a simulated Article 5 combat scenario.
