RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany -- U.S. Air Forces Europe - Air Forces Africa Chief of Staff, Brig. Gen. Otis Jones, met with parliamentarians from the state of Rheinland-Pfalz, led by the newly appointed State Secretary at the Ministry of the Interior, Mr. Daniel Stich, Oct. 29, at Ramstein Air Base, Germany.
As the host state of both Ramstein Air Base and Spangdahlem Air Base, and home to thousands of service members and their families, Rheinland-Pfalz and USAFE-AFAFRICA enjoy a special relationship which is of strategic importance to both partners.
In addition to an exchange about topics of mutual interest, the meeting also included a USAFE-AFAFRICA mission brief to convey the vital importance of training with our German hosts and NATO Allies to maintain and strengthen international partnerships which promote global security.
