U.S. Air Force JSTARS aircraft deploys to Ramstein

An E-8C Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System aircraft assigned to the 116th Air Control Wing, Robins Air Force Base, Ga., has deployed to Ramstein Air Base, Germany.

 

The JSTARS is an airborne battle management, command and control, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance platform. Its primary mission is to provide theater ground and air commanders with situational awareness to support military operations.

 

The deployment of JSTARS to the European theater demonstrates U.S. commitment to our allies and partners in the region.
