Two C-130H aircraft deploy to Portugal

RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany -- Two C-130H Hercules aircraft and approximately 50 Airmen from the 700th Airlift Squadron, 94th Airlift Wing, Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Georgia deployed to Monte Real AB, Portugal to participate in Real Thaw 18.

Real Thaw is an annual, Portuguese-led, large joint and combined force exercise scheduled in the spring every year in Portugal.

The deployment of C-130s to Portugal helps maintain joint readiness while building interoperability capabilities. This training is partially funded by the European Deterrence Initiative.
