Gen. Roger A. Brady, United States Air Forces in Europe commander, speaks to more than 40 children of Headquarters USAFE people during HQUSAFE Job Shadow Day. General Brady talked to the children about his job as the commander, the importance of what their parents do for the Air Force while living and working in Europe, and then answered questions on a variety of topics. Some of the questions asked by the children to COMUSAFE included: what were his favorite college and professional football teams; where did he go to school; what are his favorite parts of his job; what he thought of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles; and, what he wanted to be when he grew up? Job Shadow Day is a nationwide effort to introduce young people to the working community through active participation. Job shadowing is an academically motivating activity designed to give children the unique opportunity of an up-close look at the world of work and provide first-hand answers to their questions. The students shadowed their sponsor or a workplace mentor and completed a half-day on the job as part of the program. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Levi Riendeau)
