Allied Strike 2011

A simulated Improvised Explosive Device lies in the path of a convoy during Allied Strike 2011 at Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany, June 30, 2011. The convoy lane trains Joint Terminal Attack Controllers on employing proper tactics, techniques and procedures when their convoy comes under attack. Allied Strike is Europe’s premier Close Air Support exercise, held annually to conduct robust, realistic CAS training that helps build partnership capacity among Allied NATO nations and refine the latest operational CAS tactics.
