MINSK, BELARUS -- Led by U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Mike Mench, U.S. Air Forces
in Europe Band commander, and Staff Sgt. Chris Jackson, USAFE Band drum major,
the USAFE Band gather at a staging point before marching in the World War II
Victory Day Parade May 9, 2015, in Minsk, Belarus. The band's participation
was the first time in Belarus' history that participants from the U.S.
Department of Defense marched in the parade to commemorate the sacrifices of
the World War II Allies and the end of hostilities 70 years ago. In addition
to their participation in the Victory Day parade, which included more than
5,000 Belarussian soldiers and 250 military vehicles, the 34 USAFE bandsmen
