Air crews breathe easy with aerospace physiology

U.S. Air Force Capt. Charity Bolling, 86th Aerospace Medicine Squadron Aerospace Physiology flight chief, monitors an 86th Operations Support Squadron pilot as he flies a simulated aircraft while hooked up to a reduced oxygen breathing device on Ramstein Air Base, Germany, Sept. 13, 2017. The purpose of the ROBD is to familiarize air crew personnel with effects of hypoxia, the lack of oxygen at high altitudes, and teach them how to mitigate the symptoms.
