Col. Richard “Moody Sutter founded the Warrior Preparation Center (WPC) at Einsiedlerhof Air Station, Germany in 1983 as a first-of-its-kind simulation center to support Battle Staff training. Over the years it evolved, constantly innovating new capabilities such as, the Air and Space Joint Live, Virtual, and Constructive training. Today, the WPC is a multi-faceted organization dedicated to enhancing warfighter readiness across the European and African theaters. It is comprised of six separate squadrons with distinct missions, hosting joint multinational exercises and delivering an array of education and training courses to U.S. forces, allies and partners. The WPC is subordinate to HQ USAFE-AFAFRICA A3/10, Directorate of Operations, Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Integration.
