NIGERIEN AIR BASE 101, NIAMEY, Niger-- -- An Airman assigned to the 768th Expeditionary Air Base Squadron died on February 18 at approximately 12:05 A.M. The cause of death is currently under investigation.
“As a base and community we are saddened to hear about this terrible loss,” said Col. Daniel E. Kobs, 409th Air Expeditionary Group commander. “We extend our heartfelt sympathies, condolences, and support to the Airman’s family, friends, and co-workers.”
The Airman’s name is being withheld pending 24 hours next-of-kin notification.
