  • Outreach program aims to bring taste of home to Afghans

    In an attempt to provide a taste of home, personnel assigned to the 86th Force Support Squadron and the 786th Force Support Squadron met with evacuees to gain a better understanding of traditional Afghan meal preparation. They learned how to prepare and cook palatable and culturally appealing meals for the thousands of evacuees currently at Ramstein Air Base, Sept. 14.
  • U.S. Airmen jump alongside NATO partners during Falcon Leap 21

    U.S. Airmen from various organizations within U.S. Air Forces Europe – Air Forces Africa participated in Falcon Leap 21, a multinational parachute training exercise led by the Dutch air force at several military installations in the Netherlands. During the exercise, U.S. forces conducted a series of integrated parachute drops alongside NATO allies from Belgium, the Czech Republic, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland and Portugal. 
  • 100th ARW delivers fuel during agile combat employment exercise

    The 100th Air Refueling Wing conducted an agile combat employment exercise at Royal Air Force Fairford, Sept. 13-16. Airmen demonstrated their ability to provide air refueling capabilities from a location with less support. Exercise High Life and other deployments that utilize agile combat employment concepts ensure forces in Europe are ready to protect and defend partners, allies and U.S. interests at a moment’s notice, and generate lethal combat power should deterrence fail. 
  • 52nd FW supports OAW, maintains mission

    In the weeks following the official end of the U.S.’s withdrawal from Afghanistan, Ramstein Air Base has been supporting Operation Allies Welcome by processing approximately 34,100 evacuees, making Ramstein AB the largest reception port for evacuees within U.S. European Command as of Aug. 20. In order for the 52nd Fighter Wing to support OAW efforts at Ramstein AB, Spangdahlem Air Base hosted a massive increase in cargo and passenger aircraft, all while maintaining its normal fighter jet operations and global deterrence mission.
  • 100th ARW fuels B-2 during Bomber Task Force mission

    The 100th Air Refueling Wing refueled a B-2 Spirit aircraft over Europe as part of a Bomber Task Force mission Sept. 8.  The U.S. routinely and visibly demonstrates commitment to allies and partners through the global employment of its military force, which is supported by the wing's ability to provide rapid air refueling support throughout Europe and Africa. The U.S. Air Force is engaged, postured, and ready with credible force to assure, deter, and defend.
