  • 2019 BTF comes to an end

    More than 450 personnel and six B-52 Stratofortresses from Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana, returned home following a short-term deployment to RAF Fairford, England, in support of U.S. Strategic Command’s Bomber Task Force in Europe, April 11, 2019. The BTF deployment enabled theater integration and training with joint partners, allied nations and other U.S. Air Force units, to further enhance bomber interoperability in the theater.

    Airmen, aircraft and support equipment from the 480th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron began flight operations in Greece for INIOHOS 19 on April 1, 2019. They joined air forces from Greece, Italy, Israel and NATO AWACS taking part in the Hellenic air force-led multinational flying exercise.

    There are many factors that go into how the Airmen of Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, receive their food, household goods and supplies. Before the product is delivered to the customer, many moving parts and multiple agencies must work together seamlessly. When it comes to receiving food and cargo, the 728th Air Mobility Squadron, 39th Medical Group public health office and the 39th Logistics Readiness Squadron customs liaison office must come together and collaborate to ensure the products are delivered in a safe and timely manner for public consumption. The process starts with the 728th receiving and offloading an aircraft full of resources.

    After biting down onto a steel pipe during training, Kobo, 86th Security Forces Squadron MWD, recently underwent two non-surgical procedures for the extraction of his upper incisors and a surgical extraction of his upper fourth premolar at Veterinary Medical Center Europe, Pulaski Barracks, Germany, Aug. 25, 2017. Soldiers from Veterinary Medical Center Europe partnered with Airmen from the 86th Dental Squadron to extract Kobo’s broken tooth, rather than use the self-developing films they had.
