Readout of Chief of Staff, U.S. Air Forces Europe - Air Forces Africa Brig. Gen. Otis Jones’ meeting with Republic of the Congo Armed Forces Delegation

Brig. Gen. Otis Jones, U.S. Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa chief of staff, welcomed Republic of the Congo Armed Forces Colonels Eudes Mpemba, Director of International Relations and Military Cooperation, and Benjamin Amboulou, Commandant of the Honor Regiment, during a familiarization event hosted by the USAFE-AFAFRICA Band, Oct. 14-19, 2024. 

The delegation’s visit to Ramstein Air Base follows a recent USAFE-AFAFRICA Band engagement in Brazzaville, where U.S. Air Force band members embarked on a joint tour across the Republic of the Congo in collaboration with the Congolese Defense Forces Band. 

During the engagements on October 16, 2024, senior leaders expressed their deep appreciation for the exchanges between the respective units, underscoring the importance of continued opportunities to discuss shared values, mutual interests, and a commitment to a secure, stable, and prosperous continent.
