RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany -- U.S. Air Force Gen. James B. Hecker, Commander of U.S. Air Forces in Europe - Air Forces Africa, met with Minister President of the State of Saarland Anke Rehlinger during a meet and greet, Monday, Ramstein Air Base, Germany. The state of Saarland is an important partner due to its proximity to Ramstein and Spangdahlem Air Base and its location under one of the U.S. Air Force's most important aviation training areas in Europe.
In addition to a tour of Ramstein Air Base, Minister President Rehlinger also visited Headquarters Allied Air Command to learn more about the mission set and vital importance of training with Allies and partners in maintaining international partnerships which promote global security.
