U.S. Air Force Airmen participate in Frisian Flag 2019

The U.S. Air Force will participate in Frisian Flag 19 from 1-12 April. Frisian Flag is a two-week, live-fly exercise led by the Royal Netherlands air force and designed to improve interoperability between NATO allies and partners. 

This year, approximately 175 Airmen, 10 F-16C Fighting Falcons and support equipment assigned to the 179th Fighter Squadron, 148th Fighter Wing, Minnesota Air National Guard, will deploy to Leeuwarden Air Base, Netherlands, to participate in exercise Frisian Flag 19.
