U.S. Air Force aircraft, Airmen participate in a Non-combatant Evacuation Operation exercise in Croatia

U.S. Air Force HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopters, aircrew, Guardian Angel pararescuemen, and support personnel from Aviano Air Base, Italy, and MC-130J aircraft and aircrew from the 352nd Special Operations Wing, RAF Mildenhall, England, have deployed to Zagreb, Croatia, to participate in a Non-combatant Evacuation Operation exercise with the U.S. Embassy in Zagreb.

The scenario simulates evacuating U.S. Embassy personnel and is conducted in close coordination with the government of Croatia. The ability to respond to emergencies and contingencies is important for U.S. Air Forces in Europe-Air Forces Africa. Exercises like this sharpen collective readiness and strengthens relationships with NATO allies and partners.
