USAFE provides support for Saber Junction 18

U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard C-130 Hercules and C-17 Globemaster aircraft and Airmen will provide personnel air drop and air landing support of airfield seizure capabilities during exercise Saber Junction 18 at the U.S. Army's Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels Training Areas Sept. 18-30, 2018.

The U.S. Army-led exercise is designed to assess the readiness and interoperability of the U.S. Army and Air Force in a joint, combined environment.

Exercises such as Saber Junction 18 ultimately help strengthen and maintain the relationship and trust with our allies and partner nations, which are essential for ensuring European security.

Participating nations are: Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, France, Georgia, Greece, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, and the United States.
