USAFE Band to perform in Serbia

RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany -- RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany (Sept. 15, 2017) – At the request of the U.S. Embassy-Belgrade, the U.S. Air Forces in Europe Band will perform at the 73rd anniversary of the Halyard Mission Sept. 16, in Pranjani, Serbia.

The event commemorates the Halyard Mission of 1944, the largest rescue operation of downed American and Allied airmen in history. The band will also perform in the local community of Pranjani.

These performances celebrate the U.S. and Serbia’s partnership and provide an opportunity to strengthen mutual understanding and cultural appreciation through people-to-people engagements, partnerships and friendships.
