USAFE-AFAFRICA to conduct JADC2 demonstration

U.S. Air Forces in Europe-Air Forces Africa, in conjunction with the Air and Space Forces’ Chief Architect’s Office, is hosting a multi-national Joint All-Domain Command and Control demonstration Feb. 22-24, 2020.

The USAFE-AFAFRICA-led demonstration will test command and control, and communication capabilities of joint and allied forces.

The demonstration is part of the Department of the Air Force’s series of technology innovation and experimentation events. 

Assets from U.S Naval Forces Europe – Africa /U.S. 6th Fleet, U.S. Army Europe – Africa, the Royal Air Force, the Royal Netherlands Air Force, and the Polish Air Force will take part in the demonstration, alongside USAFE-AFAFRICA and other U.S. Air Force assets.

The U.S. Space Force will also participate to test data connections and the ability to quickly leverage space assets for command and control and communication requirements. 

“We will be demonstrating JADC2 capabilities for targeting and base air defense scenarios that mirror real-world situations,” said Gen. Jeff Harrigian, USAFE-AFAFRICA commander. “Having our joint and allied warfighters training together allows us to provide new capabilities to make our combined ability to target our adversaries more agile.”
