B-52 Stratofortress aircraft from the U.S. Air Force’s 5th Bomb Wing departed Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota, to support exercises in Europe. The bombers will take part in three exercises in the Baltic and Black Sea regions, providing opportunities for training with our allies and partners. Strategic bomber missions enhance the readiness and training necessary to respond to any potential crisis or challenge across the globe.

The B-52 Stratofortress strategic bomber fleet has been in service since the mid-1950s and continues to be a workhorse for the U.S. military, carrying out missions and training exercises around the globe. These missions underscore American commitment to the NATO alliance and continued peace in Europe.
