F-15Cs from the U.S. Air National Guard began arriving at Leeuwarden Air Base, Netherlands today.

The U.S. Air Force will deploy approximately 300 Airmen along with a total of 12 F-15Cs to Europe as a part of a Theater Security Package in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve.

The Airmen, aircraft and support equipment deployed from the 122d Expeditionary Fighter Squadron, comprised of Louisiana and Florida Air National Guard. While in theater, these aircraft will deploy to Leeuwarden AB, Netherlands, to participate in Royal Netherlands Air Force-led exercise, Frisian Flag; they will then forward deploy to locations in European NATO nations for approximately six months.

The unit will conduct training alongside our NATO Allies and partners to strengthen interoperability and to demonstrate United States commitment to the security and stability of Europe.
