Chief Operations Officer for the U.S. Space Force visits NATO Space Center
Italian Air Forces Maj. Gen. Gianluca Ercolani, NATO Allied Air Command chief of Staff (left); Lt. Gen. DeAnna Burt (center), Chief Operations Officer for the United States Space Force; and German Air Forces Brig. Gen. Christoph Pliet, NATO Allied Air Command deputy chief of Staff, pose for a picture in NATO Allied Air Command at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, May 22, 2023. Burt visited the NATO Space Center within NATO Allied Air Command to learn and understand how the U.S. can best integrate and support the Alliance’s space mission. In December 2019, NATO Heads of State and Government declared space as the Alliance's "fifth domain" of operations, alongside land, sea, air and cyberspace, which provides new space for information sharing, capability building, and multilateral cooperation alongside our NATO Allies and Partners.
