Supersonic B-1s join 5th generation ally over Arctic

A 9th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron B-1B Lancer, deployed in support of Bomber Task Force Europe 22-1, receives fuel from a 100th Air Refueling Wing KC-135 Stratotanker following an Arctic region targeting mission. The bombers joined Norwegian Air Force F-35 Lightning II aircraft to execute an Allied targeting mission controlled by Norwegian Joint Terminal Attack Controllers. The mission focused on 5th generation integration and interoperability between the coalitions’ most advanced fighter platform and the supersonic strategic bomber.
