Bulgaria: Strong, strategic relationships, partnerships
Gen. Jeff Harrigian, U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa commander, presents Master. Sgt Anthony Mitchell, 555th Aircraft Maintenance Unit production superintendent with a commander's coin at Graf Ignatievo Air Base, Bulgaria, Oct. 21, 2020. Harrigian thanked Mitchell for his role in supporting the maintenance actions required during the multilateral Thracian Viper exercise and NATO enhanced Air Policing. During their time in Bulgaria, the 31st Aircraft Maintenance Squadron and 555th AMU worked tirelessly to ensure the F-16 Fighting Falcons deployed from the 31st Fighter Wing, Aviano Air Base, Italy, were prepared to fly.
