KC-46A Pegasus' stop by RAF Mildenhall to train with KC-135 pilots
Aircrew from McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas, perform pre-flight checks on a KC-46A Pegasus it sits on the flightline at RAF Mildenhall, England, Aug. 18, 2020. Aircrew and crew chiefs, along with two KC-46s, spent time here to train alongside KC-135 Stratotanker aircrew. The KC-46 has undergone extensive testing this past year, and the successful completion of its first aeromedical evacuation in July 2020 represents a significant milestone in the aircraft’s ability to demonstrate one of its three mission sets: aerial refueling, airlift and aeromedical evacuation.
