APORA 2019

U.S. Air Force Maj. John Shepherd, a public health officer, facilitates discussions for one of the break out groups during the African Partner Outbreak Response Alliance (APORA) conference in Kigali, Rwanda on May 21, 2019. These break out groups focused on various subjects to include early warning and surveillance measures, logistical planning and preparedness. During APORA, military and civilian leaders worked together to align best practices and improve response capabilities for potential outbreaks of contagious diseases.
