Phantom lift
Senior Airman Austin Westfall, 39th Maintenance Squadron crew chief, watches Staff Sgt. Cody Walker, 39th MXS crew chief, tie a sling around an F-4 Phantom II at March 8, 2019, at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey. Airmen from the 39th MXS attached a rope to the aircraft as a brace for lifting the aircraft during an exercise to maintain their qualifications on lifting damaged aircraft. Using the decommissioned aircraft allows squadrons like the 39th MXS to sharpen and maintain their skillsets. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Matthew J. Wisher)
