Phantom lift
Airman 1st Class Jamere Morris, 39th Maintenance Squadron crew chief, fastens a sling to the landing gear of an F-4 Phantom II during a lift March 8, 2019, at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey. Airmen from the 39th MXS attached a rope to the aircraft to brace for the lift as part of an exercise to maintain proper training on how to lift a damaged aircraft in emergency situations. Using the decommissioned aircraft allows squadrons like the 39th MXS to use sharpen and maintain their skillsets for real world situations. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Matthew J. Wisher)
