PAMBALA 2017: Ohio works with State Partner Serbia, Angola during historic trilateral medical exercise

Maj. Adam Bihl (left), an Ohio Air National Guard physician participating in the PAMBALA 2017 medical exercise, consults with his Angolan counterpart in the pediatrics clinic about patients in the village of Vale do Paraiso Dec. 11, 2017, in Bengo, Angola. PAMBALA is the first-ever trilateral combined medical engagement to take place in the Republic of Angola, highlighted by a four-day clinical operations mission focusing on services like preventative medicine, pediatrics, family practice, dermatology, optometry, dentistry, and obstetrics and gynecology at various field hospitals in the province. The historic engagement aims to build the foundation for future engagements between the U.S. and Angola, as well as enhance the 11-year partnership the Ohio National Guard maintains with Serbia, through the National Guard State Partnership Program.
