Operation Halyard 73rd anniversary commemoration

Distinguished visitors from the U.S. Embassy in Serbia and the Ohio Air National Guard present a wreath to commemorate the 73rd anniversary of Operation Halyard at Galobica Field in Pranjani, Serbia, Sept. 16, 2017. From August 1944 to February 1945, with the help of the local Serbian citizens and the former Yugoslav Armed Forces in the Homeland, more than 500 airmen were transported from improvised runways in Serbia to U.S. airbases in Italy.
