Armed Services Blood Program delivers life

U.S. Army Sgt. Victor Castillo, C Company, Landstuhl Regional Medical Center medical laboratory technician, places a bag of plasma into a container at LRMC, Sept. 22, 2016. After being separated from each other, both the plasma and blood are weighed to get the actual amount collected. While the separated blood is used for transfusions, the plasma is used if a person is having trouble clotting and stopping blood loss. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Timothy Moore)
