FARP tryouts leave Airmen gassed
U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Joshua Sledge, 100th Logistics Readiness Squadron mobile distribution operator, carries a hose during tryouts for the Forward Area Refueling Point team Sept. 3, 2015, on RAF Mildenhall, England. The rigorous tryouts were designed to test Airmen for a worst-case scenario when performing FARP duties to ensure they could handle tasks under stress and in potentially dangerous areas. Utilized mostly in potentially hazardous areas, a FARP is the process of refueling aircraft on the ground from another parked aircraft. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Kate Thornton/Released)
