Stone, along with childhood friends Aleksander Skarlatos and Anthony Sadler, was recently honored by U.S. President Barack Obama at the White House for subduing an armed gunman when he entered their train carrying an assault rifle, a handgun and a box cutter. Stone is returning to his home unit for the first time in nearly a month after receiving medical care and traveling throughout the U.S. after the Paris train attack incident.
