Real-life training prepares Airmen for real-life threats

Simulated-munitions’ casings lie on the floor as U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Daniel Duarte, 100th Security Forces Squadron scheduler, acts as an active shooter during expeditionary active shooter training Nov. 23, 2015, on RAF Feltwell, England. The new training, implemented Oct. 1, is designed to prepare deploying Airmen for an environment where firearms are potentially more prevalent, meaning they might be armed and have to protect themselves and others from the threat of an active shooter.
