PJs execute confined-space extraction exercise

U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Jared Isenhart, 321st Special Tactics Squadron pararescueman, climbs onto the roof of a building Oct. 2, 2013, on RAF Mildenhall, England, during a confined-space extraction exercise. Isenhart performed his portion of the pre-planned mission protocol, assisting in the recovery of “wounded” personnel. Air Force pararescuemen, also known as PJs, are the only Department of Defense elite combat forces specifically organized, trained, equipped and postured to conduct full-spectrum Personnel Recovery (PR) to include both conventional and unconventional combat rescue operations.
