100th LRS reduces carbon footprint
U.S. Air Force Airman Jacob Rievel, 100th Logistics Readiness Squadron vehicle maintainer from Johnstown, Pa., checks the engine oil level on a newly assigned low-carbon, fuel-efficient diesel sedan Dec. 6, 2013, on RAF Mildenhall, England. The 100th LRS replaced 19 vehicles with a newer more environmentally friendly fleet. To further reduce the squadron’s carbon footprint, Airmen are teleconferencing, utilizing computer based training and walking to all other training whenever possible.
