U.S. service members honored at Memorial Day event in Suresnes.
SURESNES, France –Two hundred French and U.S. service members and civilians gathered at Suresnes Cemetery, just outside Paris May 25, 2014, to honor fallen Americans who fought and died during the two world wars. This white marble statue, named “Memory,” stands in the WWII memorial room of the cemetery with an inscription reading, “Let us here highly resolve that these honored dead shall not have died in vain.” (U.S. Air Force photo/Capt.
