World War II veteran visits Team Mildenhall
Joe Urice, left, a World War II veteran, shakes hands with U.S. Air Force Col. Kenneth T. Bibb Jr., 100th Air Refueling Wing commander, after Bibb presented a coin to Urice during a base visit May 22, 2014, on RAF Mildenhall, England. Urice served from December 1944 to November 1945 with the 100th Bombardment Group as a B-17 Flying Fortress tail-gunner. He visited the U.K. with his family and members of the 100th Bomb Group Foundation. Bibb spent time talking with Urice and they shared stories and accounts of their time at various stations.
