A road by any other name
William Prindible and Julian Rice, former World War II pilots, listen as Brig. Gen. Patrick X. Mordente, 86th Airlift Wing commander, speaks about how important it is to remember the past in order to secure the future during a street-naming ceremony on Ramstein Air Base, Germany, June 2, 2014. The street was named Skytrain Lane after the C-47, the same kind of aircraft that both Prindible and Rice flew during the D-Day invasion. Prior to the ceremony, Prindible and Rice spoke to a crowded group of Airmen in the Hercules Theater on base about personal experiences related to the D-Day invasion of Normandy, France.
