POW/MIA

Staff Sergeant Newell Slagle, from the 100th Security Forces Squadron, reads names of military members either captured or missing in action during a 24-hour vigil at the Prisoner of War/Missing in Action memorial here Sept. 19, 2008. As Sergeant Slagle reads, Staff Sergeant Che Bain salutes Senior Airman Kieth Garrie, both from the 100th Security Forces Squadron, before relieving him of his guard duties. Each volunteer would read names for five minutes and then would replace the member standing guard at the memorial for an additional five minutes.
