U.S. Permanent Representative to NATO visits Ramstein

Gen. Roger Brady, USAFE commander, and Joseph Stein, Secretary of Defense Deputy Representative, Europe & Defense Advisor, US Mission to NATO, discuss USAFE patient movements during a visit today. Mr. Stein accompanied Ambassador Kurt Volker, U.S. Permanent Representative to NATO, to discuss USAFE’s roles and mission in Europe, to include USAFE’s participation in Baltic Air Policing and the newly formed Heavy Airlift Wing at Papa, Hungary. In addition to briefings and a visit with CC-Air NATO, Mr. Stein was also able to witness first-hand how patients arriving from Iraq and Afghanistan are moved from Germany to the United States on aeromedical evacuation flights.
