435th MDOS wins Pharmacy of the Year award

Capt. Ngy Heng, Senior Airman Jesten Rodriguez, Airman 1st Class Carlos Aviles, Master Sgt. Randall Hicks, Staff Sgt. Christopher Calo, Staff Sgt. Joe Race, Tech. Sgt. Barbara Wells, Elizabeth Nazareno, SSgt Daylan Carey, SrA Paul Figueroa, and Maj Victoria O’Shea are assigned to the 435th Medical Operations Squadron Pharmacy. The team was selected as U.S. Air Forces in Europe Pharmacy of the Year in 2007 for an unprecedented fourth consecutive year. Team members can offer patient counseling in seven languages. This diverse group provides world-class service to the second busiest pharmacy in USAFE. The team dispenses 115,000 prescriptions each year to 53,000 beneficiaries in the KMC. In 2007, Team Pharmacy captured 17 awards ranging from squadron level to Department of Defense level. The team also contributed 548 hours of community services, with four members receiving recognition at the Ramstein Air Base Annual Volunteer Celebration.(Photo by Staff Sgt. Christopher Calo)
