Getting ready

GRAF IGNATIEVO, Bulgaria- Tech. Sgt. Michael Zucco, Senior Airman Jonathan Taylor and Senior Airman Seth Roberts, 48th Munitions Squadron, prepare a GBU-12 500 pound inert bomb, with a MAU-169 computer control group, here as a MIG-29 taxis by. The MAU-169 follows a laser to the target. A laser can either be sent from the F-15E Strike Eagle or from a servicemember on the ground. The munitions troops built the bombs for the F-15 flying simulated ground attack with the Army as part of the tri-lateral exercise Immediate Response 2006, with the U.S., Bulgarian and Romanian militaries.
