U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Truman Smith, a Tactical Air Control Party member from the 2nd Air Support Operations Squadron, plays an insurgent in convoy attack training for Allied Strike at Grafenwoehr, Germany, Aug. 3, 2009. Allied Strike is a weeklong multi-service, multi-national exercise run by the 4th Air Support Operations Squadron out of Heidelberg, Germany, designed to prepare joint terminal attack controllers for deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The 4th ASOG’s battlefield Airmen recently became a part of one of the Air Force’s newest wings – the 435th Air Ground Operations Wing, headquartered at Ramstein Air Base, Germany.
