U.S. Air Forces in Europe celebrates 65 years of history

The two most junior ranking Airmen in attendance assist Gen. Tom Hobbins (left), Commander U.S. Air Forces in Europe, and Chief Master Sgt. Gary Coleman (right), USAFE Command Chief Master Sergeant, in slicing a cake at the USAFE 65th Anniversary Dinner Concert celebrated March 10 at the Ramstein Officers’ Club. In keeping with tradition, the most junior officer and enlisted Airmen participated in the cake cutting ceremony. On Saturday, the honors went to 2nd Lt. Amanda DeLancey, a contracting officer from the 52nd Contracting Squadron at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, and to Airman Basic James Summerer, a command post controller with the 603rd Air Operations Center at Ramstein.
