U.S. F-15E fighter pilots train with Estonia forward air controllers
An F-15E fighter jet from the 494th Fighter Squadron sits on the ramp at Tallinn International Airport, Estonia, after flying from its home base, RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom, and performing a two hour training mission with Estonia forward air controllers (FAC), known as joint terminal attack controllers to the U.S. military. The aircrew prepares to be shuttled in an Estonian Robinson R44 helicopter, in the background, to the training area to debrief the FAC's. The purpose of the training is to enhance the abilities of Estonian FAC's and ground commanders in employing NATO air strike assets. (U.S Air Force photo/Lt. Col. Jim Parker)
