2007 Moscow Air Show

RAMENSKOYE AIRFIELD, Zhukovsky, Russia -- Gen. Tom Hobbins, U.S. Air Forces in Europe commander, takes a moment to chat with Staff Sgt. Kevin Jones, Senior Airman Travis Swinson, Capt. Scott Montier and Senior Master Sgt. Todd Cole from the 100th Air Refueling Wing, Royal Air Force Mildenhall, England, Aug. 21 during the first day of the Moscow International Air Show. U.S. Air Force aircraft from Europe and the states are part of the static display and flying demonstration at the air show near Moscow. General Hobbins visited the air show and met with some of his troops from USAFE. While here, he also met with Russian President Vladimir Putin and chief of staff of the Russian Federation air force, Gen.-Col. Alexsandr Zelin. The air show is one of the premier events of its type in the world. U.S. participation in the air show demonstrates our commitment to international security, promotes international cooperation and contributes to U.S. foreign policy objectives. About 65 airmen from bases in Europe and the states are participating in this year’s air show. U.S. Air Force photo by Karen Abeyasekere
